I came to to MARL in September with my friend, we were called strays and no one ever claimed us. My best friend got adopted in October, I miss him so much but I remain in desperate search of my forever home. The good folks at MARL say that I am VERY sweet and will make a great inside dog, and I would also like a fenced yard to play in. I love other dogs and people and I am growing depressed each day that I stay here. I don't understand why no one wants me and the nice people say that I will soon have to "leave" to make room for other dogs who are brought in. Please open your heart and your home to me because I am in desperate need NOW.

"Hello there! My name is Jackie! I currently live at The Madison Ark because they gave me a warm and dry place to live when Hurricane Gustav hit the Gulf Coast. I play with everybody and cherish any time I get to roll around in the grass. I will play with big dogs, small dogs, old dogs, young dogs....I just like to play! I adore meeting new people and I have a special little "dance" I'll do for you when I see you. My sister has already been adopted and now lives in Birmingham, AL. I miss her very, very much. She was my very best friend. I desperately need a new human or animal as my playmate. I love living at the Ark, but I have been here since they opened. I am ultimately looking for a forever home with a nice person or family who will love me and let me shower them with puppy kisses. Could that home be yours? I am a smaller hound mix and am up to date on my shots. I am almost old enough to be spayed and the cost of my surgery is included in my adoption fee. I am a very healthy girl! Meet Rowdy

My name is Rowdy and I am a 6 month old medium sized heeler/terrier mix. I was only about 2 pounds when I was dropped off in Kosciusko with my brother and sister. I would love a family with children to play with and I like to stay inside, especially after dark. I am very easily trained, I come when called and walk well on a leash. I am not completely housetrained, but I am still young and with the right amount of love I will work very hard for you. A doggie door would be nice, so I can run and play outside, but I need a fenced in yard. I am already neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. My brother and sister have both been adopted and a retired couple adopted me, but I really need children to run and play with. Please...be my new home! Rowdy is currently at CARA.
